I bought this bowl and the Brake-Fast bowl to do a side-by-side comparison. This was the winner. We have an 11-pound terrier mix who wolfed down her food. The other brand slowed her down a little, but this one was twice as good. We fee 1/3 cup at a time, and if you put in a lot more than that, the food would pile up in more than one layer and the dog would have an easier time gulping. So if you have a small dog, this is great.
These bowl have really helped my dogs from eating and drinking too fast I am very pleased with all 4 that I bought

My pooch would gobble down her food, causing her to choke. So when I saw this item- I thought it would be the perfect fix. It did slow her eating down… but after a couple of weeks I noticed that her top lip was irritated and scabby. When my husband asked if it could be the dish, I balked… But then I took a closer look and the plastic had gotten sharp due to her teeth scraping it. As a test I went back to her old bowl and within a week the area looked normal again. Now I just add yogurt to slow her down!
