My pup used to inhale her food so I fed her her meals with a treat ball. I wanted her to be able to eat out of a dish though too. Found this for my golden. Got the jumbo size. Sometimes she still tries to rush, but the design of this bowl has really slowed her down. Now she even CHEWS her food!
My 60lb hound used to push her bowl around, and just play with her food so much before she would eat it, but bought this bowl (medium sized) and 2 others (med and large) for my dads dogs and it has made eating time so much better! The other two dogs are a 75lb GSD and a 135lb Rhotty (he was meant for the large bowl, but he just as often eats from the med bowl… go figure) the bigger two had issues with bolting food, and that greatly helped curb it! My Honey now eats her food with more intent and the other two feel more full, and the rhotty doesnt throw up his food like he used to
The concept for this bowl is sound but one thing to keep in mind: If you have dogs that like to chew they will LOVE the soft plastic that this is made out of. Took all of two days before they had utterly destroyed the things. I would but metal next time.
